Akron Fire Police Credit Union began as the Akron Fire Department Credit Union more than 80 years ago. Their name later became Akron Firefighters Credit Union and membership expanded to firefighters and their families throughout Northeast Ohio. Membership is now open to include all First Responders. In 2016, Akron Fire Police CU merged the Akron Police Department Credit Union into their membership.

Chicago Firefighters Credit Union was founded as 2nd Division Credit Union in 1937 to serve fire department employees in the City of Chicago. At a time when the nation’s financial system was still reeling from the Great Depression, many banks just weren’t addressing the concerns of average working people.

ECUC was organized in 1972 to represent the special interests of education and school credit unions. The founding members recognized that educator credit unions are unique and could greatly benefit from cooperatively coming together to share ideas and resources. Over forty years later, with so many changes in the CU industry, the Council continues to be the pillar upholding the vision and mission of education in CUs across the nation.

The Nashville Firemen's Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by its members. It is operated for Nashville Fire Department employees and their families by a Board of Directors. Members of the Nashville Firemen's Credit Union are shareholders of the organization and are entitled to share in its earnings through dividends voted by the Board of Directors.

Newark Firemen FCU was chartered in 1940 to service the financial needs of the members and their families, of the Fire Department of the City of Newark. Over the past 79 years the credit union has grown to a $18 million financial organization with 5 employees serving over 3,000 members. NFFCU is headquartered at Newark in a credit union-built-and-owned building.

The Jackson County Teachers Credit Union is a community chartered credit union open to anyone working or living in Jackson County, FL. Jackson County Teachers CU has been working for and supporting their community since 1954.
