KIT FCU

There are two ways that you may be eligible to join KIT: work for a company that is one of KIT's sponsor groups; or be a relative of a KIT member.

Once you are a member, you may pass along membership to your immediate family, regardless of where they live or work. Family membership includes a spouse, child, sibling, parent, grandparent, or grandchild. For the purpose of this definition, an immediate family member includes a stepparent, stepchild, step-sibling, and adoptive relationships. It also includes anyone who permanently lives in your household.

Department of Corrections CU

Founded in 1957 by William H. Ruff, the Department of Corrections Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization established with the mission to provide financial services, products, and knowledge necessary to meet members’ financial goals. The Board of Directors and the Management Team strive to provide an affordable source of credit in an ever-changing economic environment and help educate our members to make sound financial decisions. The individual personal service and care that employees provide to our members are what distinguishes DOCCU from other financial institutions.

Throughout the past several years, DOCCU has come a long way in becoming a full-service financial institution by expanding products and services beyond traditional savings and loans. We currently serve 12,000+ members through nine (9) locations and 20+ credit union-owned ATMs.

South Carolina National Guard FCU

Founded in 1966 as South Carolina Army National Guard Federal Credit Union, our goal was to serve the financial needs of the men and women in the South Carolina Army National Guard and their families. In 2007, we merged with McEntire Federal Credit Union – who, at the time, served only members of the South Carolina Air National Guard and their families – to become the South Carolina National Guard Federal Credit Union.  Our name may have changed, but our goal remains the same.

Currently serving more than 6,000 members worldwide, South Carolina National Guard Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit organization committed to the credit union philosophy of “People Helping People.”

NAE Federal Credit Union

NAE was formed when ten Ford employees from the Norfolk Assembly Plant pooled their resources to help other employees save and borrow (if needed) for the future. Shortly after being formed, the responsibility for growing the credit union was turned over to our current President/C.E.O., Palmer Stillman. During these formative years, the credit union grew from his shirt pocket to the back porch of Palmer’s house. It was during this time that the credit union reflected the image of a family credit union.

In the following years since NAE has been approached and agreed to merge three other credit unions into our current field of membership, Norfolk Southern Employees Credit Union (2014), Tidewater Dominion Employees Federal Credit Union (2016), and Norfolk Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union (2018).

WNC Community Credit Union

WNC Community Credit Union was established in 1946 as Thoroughbred Credit Union, later changing it’s name to Dayco Credit Union. Our mission was to serve the employees of the Dayco plant in Waynesville, NC. With a plant closure eminent, Dayco Credit Union applied for and received a community charter from the state of North Carolina, thus opening membership to anyone living or working in Haywood or Jackson county. In 1997, the former Dayco Credit Union became WNC Community Credit Union (WNCCCU).

Education Credit Union Council

ECUC was organized in 1972 to represent the special interests of education and school credit unions. The founding members recognized that educator credit unions are unique and could greatly benefit from cooperatively coming together to share ideas and resources. Over forty years later, with so many changes in the CU industry, the Council continues to be the pillar upholding the vision and mission of education in CUs across the nation.

The Credit Union For Robertson County

The Credit Union for Robertson County was chartered in 1968 by employees of the Jesse Holman Jones Hospital. At that time, it was known as Jesse Holman Jones Hospital Employees Credit Union. In 1983, the membership expanded to include health-related employees and County and City employees. In 1987, the credit union at Tappan (now Electrolux Home Products) was merged with us and, in 1991, we merged with Unarco’s Credit Union. We became “The Credit Union for Robertson County” in October of 1994–a name that better reflected our broader area of service. Anyone who works or worships within 25 miles of our branch on Memorial Boulevard is eligible to join our credit union family.

Pillar Credit Union

Pillar's mission started in 1960 with hard-working, salt-of-the-earth railroad workers. Initially named Marion Erie Credit Union, we were established as a state-chartered credit union with Erie Railroad employees and their families as members. Quaker Credit Union merged with us in 1977, and Parker-Elgin Federal Credit Union in November 2003.

Since those early days of “lunchbox offices,” our credit union has been a safe place for the workers who keep our communities moving forward. Over 60 years later, that hasn’t changed. We continue serving people from all walks of life with a focus on strengthening their financial fitness along the way.
